It has been a long time since I have posted anything and the last post was about why I hadn't been around much. Well not much has changed, still busy but that is all good news. I have even set up a table selling my items at a local art center. Besides my business keeping me busy, I have also been running and organizing a fundraiser for my local SPCA shelter. Last Nov. we raised $1500 for them with a craft show. I was even asked to go on the radio the day before to promote it and then had the TV news crew there the day of the show! I was a bit nervous but made it through. Anyway, here are some things I have made over the past few months.

First, just want to state that this is in no means me complaining... in fact I am very happy about all of this, I just wanted to share why I haven't posted much over the last few months.

Ok, so I have never been a person to blog everyday or even a couple of times a week) but I haven't done much blogging at all over the last few months. I have a very good reason for that!!! It isn't because I haven't been crafting anything to share, I have been doing a lot of crafts, just been so busy that I really haven't had a lot of time to take pics, edit them and post them. I hope to do more of it soon. I have also passed my weekly ad challenge on the Cricut MB to another crafter since I could not give it the time it and the other MB members deserved. So thanks for visiting and please come back soon to see more of my crafts.

My latest stamp set!

I have found some of the greatest stamps... giving my projects a little heat! They are Bombshell Stamps! They are a vintage pinup, tatoo style stamp line. Here is my first project with the "Bombshell Angel" stamp set, it is an altered domino. I stamped and colored it and added a magnet strip to the back of it.

Crafters for Critters

I am organizing a fundraising/ crafts show event to raise money for my local SPCA who is having some finacial problems this year. I am very excited to be doing this and wanted to share this with my fellow crafters. Maybe someone might want to do something similar in their community. I have a small business selling my crafts that I make at local craft shows and though it would be good to do one to help the SPCA. Vendors will pay for a booth space and donate one item to be raffled. All proceeds will go to the SPCA. I am also going to have a booth with different crafts to sell where all proceeds from those sales goes to the SPCA as well. I would love to have a large variety of crafts for the booth. If you would like to help, please donate one handmade craft (even a simple card would be helpful) for this booth. Please e-mail for more info on how to help!

I was really inspired by these colors this time and got right to work on my card. At first I thought these looked liked great summer colors, but then they reminded me of apples. That's how I came up with this idea. I again stamped the background to match the colors. TFL!

I'm sorry I am late with this weeks challenge. My son started running a fever which on top of getting ready for 2 craft fairs and a farmers market all within one week of each other, I have been crazy busy! But enought excuses, here is this weeks challenge. This weeks ad is from horchow.com and this seems to be a popular color cobination right now. These are some bright colors so I added two tones of the colors in this ad, feel free to choose which ever you like or use both!

Here is my card for this challenge, I still went a little lighter since I found this cute paper in my stash that matched it. I thought this would make a nice mother's day card.

Chocolate Nugget Box Revisted

When I origianlly made this .cut file I used george and celebrations carts. Someone on the Cricut MB liked this .cut file but didn't have the celebrations carts. So I recreated it with George only. The new file can be downloaded from the right under "Cricut DS Cuts". I haven't cut it yet to see how it looks cut, let me know if it works or if there is a problem. Enjoy!

Here is my card for this week. The stamp is froma retired hostess set from Stampin' Up! and I colored it with SU inks using the water pen. I cut the flower from George cartridge to give a little extra accent to the stamped area. I embossed the yellow area with my cuttle bug and the background paper is from DCWV. TFL! Here is my card for this ad inspiration challenge. I used the "Flight of the Butterfly" stamp set and scalloped boarder punch from Stampin' Up! To make the scalloped buckle you cut your paper to 2.75" x 2.75", centering it on the punch using the guide lines, punch once one each side. Use a 1.75" x 1.75" piece of paper for the center of the buckle.

I found out how to add my blog to blog directories and search engines to help me get more traffic to my site. The author also has an email subscription so you can continue to get more great tips. This is a great site for anyone like me who is new to all this blogging stuff!

My first BIA Project!

I finally got a BIA and here are some mini books I made with it. I love to recycle when ever possible and I got to use some recycled materials with these. For the covers I used decoarative tissue boxes. I lined the inside of the covers with a cordinating paper and added a little design to the outside of the covers. TFL!

Here is my card for this weeks inspiration. I cut the lady bug, flower and leaves from Cricut cart. WIMG. I embossed the flower with my Cuttlebug and one of the new texture plates from Stampin' Up! I folded the leaves in half and ran them through my crimper on an angle. The background is stamped with Stampin' Up! "Doodle This"stamp set and the "thank you so very much" is from the "Flight of the Butterfly" stamp set. My Craft Room

Ok I've been busy with end of year stuff so I haven't posted in a while. I am working on some new projects but I thought I would share a little about my craft room.

This is my main desk where I work.

This is my wall of shelves where I store my stamps, inkpads, bucket collection and other craft supplies.

This is my side table where do most of my cutting and store my cards & envelopes.
This is my main paper storage. My paper is sorted by colors and by multi colored paper is sorted by patterns. Most of my cardstock is also here, sorted by color as well.
I love this shelving system! The purple boxes is where I store my scrap paper. With the lids off, three boxes fit in the shelf perfectly, and with the little space on the top I can easily slip scraps back into the boxes since they are open! I also store my SU paper here as well as other materials and tools I craft with. As you can see on one of the plastic storage drawers, I am in the procress of covering the front of them with contact paper.
This is my Cricut cart. I have both Cricuts, one on each shelf, my carts (in the green box next to the baby bug), two drawers (under baby) to hold my markers, cables and other accessories and a basket on the bottom for my old mats. I hang my new ones on the side (left) of the cart with an "S" hook. Since the cart is on wheels, I store it at the end of my table and slide it out when I use it.

Thsi is my relaxation chair, I sit here to look at magzines for ideas or when I just need a little thinking time.

This is the little nook in my room where I make my jewelry. I've been busy making cards so I haven't made any jewelry in a while and this desk has become a catch all area for right now. Most of the time my whole room looks about this messy, I am far from a neat freak!

This is an old CD shelf we had and I took it for my paints and glue guns. I also have a closet to the left of the shelf that I use for storage as well.

This is my office area for my business. My computer desk is just to the left here. It is a small room so I can easily run my DS cord from the cricuts to the computer.
This is the first "test" butterfly I cut from contact paper to decorate my walls. Thanks for taking a tour of my room with me!

8 Cards 1 Sheet Wonder

Here are 8 Cards I made. I stamped one 8.5 x11 paper and then used that to make the 8 cards. The stamped leaves and inks are from Stampin' Up and the cut leaves are from WIMG Cricut cart. The "Happy Thanksgiving" is a studio G stamp! For the background paper for the stamped paper, I just added 1/4" to the width & length.I have made a layout template for the cards and a cut sheet in word so you can print it out from your computer.

Celebrate World Card Making Day with me!

As you may have heard already, I’ve just became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator! To help me kick-start my career I am having an online open house to celebrate World Card Making Day week of October 4-11. Happy Thanksgiving Wreath

I made this with my Cricut and Stampin Up Stamps! I cut out a 12' ring and leaves from the Doodle Charms cart and inked them in fall colors. I attached the leaves to the ring and added the cut out letters. It is a little flat looking, but I like it! TFL!

I saw Pocketful of Cards on http://www.crafttvweekly.com/ and made my own version of them. These cute little folders sets have 4 cards (I didn't decorate them, just used DCWV's card with an already printed design on the outside, blank on the inside) and envelopes.

I needed a new display for my cards when I sell them at the farmers market. I made this today with foam board and some plastice strips (don't know what they are really for) from Lowes. Here is a pic with cards and one with out them. I just put it on a table top easel to hold it up. I'm so happy with how it looks!

Chocolate Nugget Box

I can't remember where I saw this on the web, but they made it with 2 punches. Here is my version that I made with my Cricut DS. The nuggets don't fall out of the sides as long as you have it tied tight enough. The .cut file is on the right!

I got the bottles from a friend. She works in a building that has a couple of different types of companies in it. The one company ordered a ton of these bottles, but they were the wrong type so they were just going to throw them out. Knowing that I am a crafty person, she grabbed some before they threw them out. When she gave them to me she said "I know you will come up with something to do with these!" So here is what I came up with! I use my Cricut to cut the tags and stamps from Stampin' Up for the lables.

Satellite Wedding Cake

Here is a wedding cake I made this past weekend. This was our wedding gift to one of my DH’s co-workers. She was having everyone cut their own cake so we thought doing individually satellite cakes would be easiest. The hotel where they had the wedding at added the chocolate covered strawberries.

Directions for the Pinwheels .cut file

Sorry I didn't add any directions for the pinwheels and a few have asked for them so here they are:

How to make a pinwheel:

You may need to make some minor corrections to the paper after the cut is done. I had to hand trim the corners slightly with scissors.
1. Cut-out the pinwheel(s) on your cricut. Cardstock or heavier paper works best.
2. Decorate one or both sides of the paper pinwheel if you didn’t use patterned paper.
3. Make the tiny holes on the four corner holes meet at the center hole.
4. Push the ends of the brad through the holes on the pinwheel. then push the brad through the center hole.
5. For a non moving pinwheel, glue to a stick of your choice. For a moving pinwheel, use a straw (poke a hole about .1/2" from the top of straw) on the back side of your pinwheel and push the ends of the fastener through the hole in the straw. Open-up the fastener by flattening the ends in opposite directions.
